Treatment offers an important start to recovery, but changing your life for the better takes time. People need a supportive environment to live, sort out priorities, change attitudes, and prepare for a new and productive life. At Phoenix House, we believe that everyone can be successful and we will work with you, your family and your recovery providers to help you maintain your sobriety.
Phoenix House is inviting and comfortable, allowing each of our residents the opportunities to develop and nurture their self-esteem and to become responsible and trustworthy again, which are all essential to recovery.
While at Phoenix House, you will begin to function as a transformed person, free of drugs and alcohol. Our shared strength and respect for each other, recovering under common circumstances, makes this transition a reality.
How does Phoenix House work?
Phoenix House operates as a close-knit family. Our residents share a number of responsibilities, but more importantly, they provide emotional support and encouragement to each other. This caring attitude fosters inward strength so that after leaving the Phoenix House, you are mentally, emotionally and physically able to handle the inevitable stress of everyday living without drugs and alcohol.
Phoenix House is a Working, Recovery House. We expect:
*Working with a counselor/or sponser
*Participate in house chores
*Work with AA, NA or other recovery organization
*Accept direction from house leader and leadership team
