How to refer a client
- Call or text us at (208) 918-8200 to check fit and current availability. You can also see current availability.
- Your client applies free online. If they’re in a hospital, jail, or treatment program and can’t get online, you can call us on their behalf. Online application.
- Interview. We interview the applicant by phone or in person, usually with peer leaders from the home.
- Move-in. If approved, we schedule intake and move-in. With the resident’s written permission, we send you an acceptance letter or residence verification.
For probation, parole, and treatment courts
- Residents on probation or parole are welcome.
- With the resident’s written permission, we provide acceptance letters and residence verification to POs, attorneys, and courts.
- Random drug and alcohol testing, at least 3 recovery meetings a week, a weekly house meeting, and curfew: 10 PM for the first 30 days, then 11 PM in good standing.
- We accept TTF funding through the Idaho Department of Correction. IDOC must confirm it before move-in.
For treatment centers, hospitals, and case managers
- Phoenix House is peer-led sober living, not treatment. We don’t provide clinical services, medication management, or 24/7 on-site staff. Residents are welcome to continue outpatient treatment.
- Medication-assisted treatment is welcome, including Suboxone and methadone when medically supervised. Prescriptions must be kept secured.
- Magellan is accepted at our Nampa men’s home only, and must be authorized before move-in. Medicaid and private insurance don’t cover sober living rent.
- Moms with children: children can live with their parent in our homes, except children over 12 of the opposite sex. See women’s sober living.
